Various faults may occur during the use of electric heating vacuum annealing furnaces. The following are common faults and their solutions:

Common faults and solutions

low vacuum

Reason: pump oil pollution, insufficient or too thin, leakage, vacuum pump oil injection, etc.

Solution: Clean the vacuum pump and replace it with new vacuum pump oil; After evacuating, turn off the power and check for any air leaks in the solenoid valve, pipe joints, vacuum pump suction valve, and sealing gasket around the working chamber; If the vacuum pump sprays oil, you can unplug the vacuum tube on the pump nozzle, remove the suction nozzle, take out the compression spring and suction valve, gently stretch the O-ring several times, re insert it into the groove, and then install it.

The pumping time is too short

Solution: Extend the pumping time.

Spiral wear

Solution: Replace the rotor.

The exhaust filter is clogged or installed incorrectly

Solution: Clean or replace the exhaust filter and install it correctly.

Loud noise

Reason: The vacuum pump coupling is worn or broken.

Solution: Replace the vacuum pump coupling.

Vacuum pump oil leakage

Reason: The return valve is blocked.

Solution: Remove the return valve and clean it.

Loose oil window

Solution: After draining the oil, remove the oil window and wrap it with raw material tape or thin plastic film.

Abnormal temperature

High temperature alarm: Check if the temperature controller parameters are normal, if the output terminal of the solid-state relay is broken down, and if the thermocouple probe has poor contact.

The displayed temperature is too low to reach the set value: check the parameters and output signals of the thermostat, whether the thermocouple is damaged, and whether the heating tube is working normally with electricity.

Abnormal atmosphere inside the furnace

Solution: Check if the atmosphere control system is functioning properly and use appropriate gas for adjustment.

Poor heat treatment effect

Reason: Improper setting of processing time, temperature, or vacuum degree.

Solution: Recheck the processing parameters and make adjustments.

Unstable power supply

Solution: Check the power supply to ensure stability.

Aging of electrical components

Solution: Check and replace aging electrical components.

Control system malfunction

Solution: Maintain or upgrade the control system.

Valve aging or damage

Solution: Check and replace aged or damaged valves.

Diffusion pump malfunction

Reason: Too little or contaminated silicone oil, insufficient heating efficiency of silicone oil, poor cooling effect of diffusion pump, etc.

Solution: Check and supplement or replace silicone oil, inspect heating plate furnace wires and power supply, optimize cooling water flow, etc.

preventive measure

Regular inspection and maintenance: including checking the status of seals, the working condition of vacuum pumps, whether pipelines are blocked, whether heating elements are aging or damaged, and whether the temperature control system is normal.

Operator training: Improve the skill level of operators and reduce equipment failures caused by improper operation.

Emergency preparedness: Develop emergency plans, such as how to protect materials inside the furnace during power outages, alternative solutions for cooling water pump failures, etc.
